Personalized Gear Tags

Personalized Gear Tags

Every tag in your order shares one QR code. It's added when we print.

Names and how many of each

Add as many names as you need. 15 characters each: letters, spaces, and hyphens.

10 to 19 tags: $1.75 each  |  20 to 39: $1.60 each  |  40 to 240: $1.40 each

Your name on every tag, plus a QR code that brings lost gear home. A finder scans with their phone camera and reaches you directly. No app to download, and your phone number never appears on the tag.

One family, one code

Add as many names as you need and choose how many of each. Every tag in your order shares one QR code and one contact page, and that's on purpose.

  • The name sorts your house. Four matching water bottles, three sets of goggles in the ski bin. Everyone knows whose is whose at a glance.
  • The code brings it home. No matter which name is on the tag, the finder reaches you.
  • One scan registers everything. Scan any tag when your package arrives and the whole order is set up.

Want tags that reach different phones? Place one order per contact.

How it works

  1. Build your set. Add names and counts. The preview updates as you type.
  2. Scan to register. Set up your contact page, including allergies or important notes for whoever finds it.
  3. Tag the gear. Water bottles, lunchboxes, helmets, tablets, instrument cases, coolers. Anything with a smooth, hard surface.

Most people start with their kid's stuff and end up tagging their own. Add a few with your name while you're here.

Details

  • About 7/8" x 1", laminated vinyl, printed and cut in Colorado
  • Names up to 15 characters (letters, spaces, hyphens). Shorter names print larger.
  • Black text only
  • 10 tag minimum for your first name, 5 for each name after that. Free shipping.

Good to know

  • Not for fabric. These are vinyl stickers. They won't hold on jackets, backpacks, nylon, or mesh.
  • Water, sweat, and snow are fine. We don't promise dishwasher survival, so hand wash for the longest life.
  • Check your spelling. Tags print exactly as previewed, and we can't reprint a typo for free.

Questions

How are these different from regular name labels for kids?

Regular name labels tell people whose water bottle it is. They don't tell anyone how to get it back. Personalized Gear Tags add a QR code that connects the finder to your contact page, so a lost lunchbox at school or a helmet left at the ski hill can actually make it home.

What can I put them on?

Kids' water bottles, lunchboxes, school supplies, tablets and Chromebooks, sports helmets, ski and snowboard gear, goggle cases, instrument cases, coolers, tool cases, and laptops. Anything with a smooth, hard surface. They're popular for back to school, daycare, summer camp, sports teams, and family travel.

If I order four names, do I get four different QR codes?

No. One code covers the entire order and points to one contact page. The names tell you whose gear is whose. The code lets a finder reach you. You only register once.

Is there a limit on how many names I can add?

No. Add every kid, both parents, the grandparents, whoever. Your first name needs at least 10 tags and each added name at least 5. The order total sets your price.

Is my personal information safe?

Your phone number and address never appear on the tag. You choose what a finder sees on your contact page and how they reach you, and you can update it anytime.

Do I or the finder need an app?

No. The finder points their phone camera at the QR code and your contact page opens. Works on any iPhone or Android.

Who makes these?

myScanBandz is a Colorado company started by a paramedic, 18-year ski patroller, and dad who wanted a better plan for lost kids and lost gear. Every tag is printed and cut in Colorado.
